The Ask

The PacSun App had been suffering from high drop off, low checkout completion and over all poor engagement. I was tasked with identifying the specific pain points and delivering a fully redesigned App.

 
 
 
 

Areas of focus

Competitive analysis and UX discovery revealed the areas where PacSun was being outperformed in terms of usability and engagement. The biggest problem areas were seen in long sprawls of content, lack of filtering and impersonal offerings.

Content Organization

Content needed to be better organized and condensed. This was achieved through using tabbed structures swipeable cards and dynamic category selections.

 
 
 
 

Dynamic Filtering

Advanced filtering and smart search suggestions needed to be utilized in order to quickly sort through a robust offering of brands and products.

Personal Curation

The addition of personalized content helped suggested items to feel more like curated looks. This allowed targeted sales and offerings to feel less discounted and more aspirational.

 
 
 
 

Look and Feel

The creation of a full style guide including color palette, typographic styles and reusable design elements ensured future ease of use for future app updates.
